Support system from Belgiun to manage Pricing & Quotationsfor for 13 countries in 4 territories each on a dedicated server located in Paris
The corporate system used a commercial industry standard car specification package (JATO) as a data source. This updates daily and my main role was to manage the import of data and ensure integrity / health check prior to releasing the data for use by the corporate systems. The format of the source data is extended periodically to allow new fields such as environmental factors to be handled.
Implemention of system enhancements based on user requests on both the main system and on the corporate web portal.
To improve performance of the system I frequently analysed the design and ran tests to monitor parameters and metrics. This showed that inter-server backup was running without compression which was easily rectified and greatly reduced database downtime.
Remote reconfiguration of main servers in Paris to improve reliability and performance.
